I’m always very interested to read these kinds of studies, considering my own life. As a child of 10, I got my first computer, and playing games soon became the only thing I wanted to do.
However, in the mid 80’s there were plenty of two player games. Some of which were played at the same time either against or with the other player. This became social competition between myself and friends.
It’s all we talked about at school! – that, and football.. (but I hated football).
Point is, considering my peers, I was one of the gentlest souls at that school, and I killed a million soldiers in a weekend of playing Rambo or Commando.
